Last Friday I took a leap of faith. Inside my stomach was churning, my heart was pounding and gooseflesh covered my skin...but I couldn't allow my precious daughter to witness my fears. It was nearly impossible to drive away leaving her to the vast unknown but she was in good hands...great hands...my father's hands. She embarked on the wildest adventure of her young lifetime...a Trans-Altantic trip to foreign lands with her grandfather. My little girl's sensitive soul packed into the womanly frame she's still growing into...she came back wiser, more worldly and slightly changed. He came back contented, proud and bursting with stories. I'm so happy...for them both.
Hello, sun in my face. Hello, you who made the morning and spread it over the fields and into the faces of the tulips and the nodding morning glories, and into the windows of, even, the miserable and the crotchety -
best preacher that ever was, dear star, that just happens to be where you are in the universe to keep us from ever-darkness, to ease us with warm touching, to hold us in the great hands of light - good morning, good morning, good morning.
Watch, now how I start the day in happiness, in kindness.
